hello beautiful people, and let me be the 15th person to welcome you into july!
the second month of summer, where the heat is extreme and so is the sudden realization that you haven’t been outside in two days (or is that just me?)
I spent the last week at home, and there’s nothing like non stop engagement with your family to remind you why distance makes the heart grow fonder <3
proof of life…

july means new music so here are some of my current favs <3
I haven’t left my apartment in days, partially due to exhaustion and prevention of unnecessary spending. I thought my nyc summers would be spent shopping the streets of soho, having midday lunches in central park.
but i’m truly just tying to figure out the intervals in which to run my makeshift AC so that my electric bill doesn’t cause me an aneurysm.
so many beautiful things happened in june:
the hydrangeas on 12th street exploded into color overnight
I found my new favorite summer scent
love island usa premiered
I laid my cheap towel on central park for a picnic
my little cousin painted my nails a color called “nearly sunrise”
a dog wearing sunglasses sat next to me on the subway
love island usa premiered
i forgot to be anxious, just for a moment
did I mention love island usa premiered?
i’ve done everything summer in new york. yankees game, sweating on the subway, hunting down every ice cream truck in a 50 foot radius. I have truly done it all and my second summer in the city feels so much more relaxed than the first.
that’s it for now! just a quick update on life + the hottest part of the year
x lauren
I’ve loved reading this, is so real and refreshing. I’m from Milan and I can read thought and life of someone who lives on the other part of the world. How beautiful is that?! I’m loving this app 🎀🎀❤️❤️
This was so fun to read!! I love reading about fellow New Yorkers so hey!! also yes, it has been way way way too hot in the city
